Tips For Managing And Treating Your Acne

By Bastiaan Storgaard

It is an inevitable dread when you find out that you are one of the people prone to acne. There is a lot of frustration and embarrassment for those who are suffering from acne, though it can be easily dealt with if you are given the right advice. This article will share some tips that can help heal acne easily.

Stress has been known to cause acne. Stress causes your body to produce stress hormones, including cortical. These hormones cause an inflammation reaction in the skin, which causes acne. While it is almost impossible to avoid stress entirely, there are ways to manage it more effectively.

Look for acne treatments that contain salicylic acid. In conjunction with another ingredient in skin products, hydroxyl acid, salicylic acid helps the skin shed more quickly.

If you have acne, zinc can help you to prevent free radicals from damaging your skin. A zinc supplement will greatly diminish cystic acne; inside and out.

Only put natural skin products on your face when you have acne. The artificial ingredients in many skin care products can wreak havoc on your skin. Your face needs a certain amount of oil to remain healthy. Many chemical laden products strip all the oils off of your skin. Because of this, your skin produces more oil to make up for the excess loss. The increase in production causes more acne.

Tea tree oils can be particularly helpful for reducing the amount of acne on your face. Tea tree oil doesn't dry out skin and if you find it works for you, it can reduce overall oil buildup in your pores just as effectively as chemical acne treatments.

Acne happens when your organs are not in good shape! Make sure you keep your internal organs in good health. When all of your body's internal systems are functioning properly, acne is easier to beat.

Who would have thought you could get acne from a cell phone? Cell phones pick up the oils from your hair and face and deposit them back to your face. You can avoid this by wiping your phone off with alcohol. When you talk on the phone, avoid pressing it against your face.

If you are suffering from skin problems, it is important to consult a physician before using self-treatment. Dermatologists are experts in this area, and a prescription for a topical acne cream may be recommended. Use the tips from this article to help treat your acne.

Acne Treatment Shock Findings

By Michael Aspreger

Just about everyone suffers from acne at some point in their lives. It can be a mild attack that's barely noticeable or it can be severe and have a profound effect on your life. Unfortunately that's the type of acne I got, the type that meant I could barely talk to girls and I wanted to hide away and not go out. I was seventeen when it first hit me and I would have given almost anything to be rid of it.

Make no mistake, acne can strike anyone. There is no color or race bar: you're just as likely to get it if you are born in Lagos, New Delhi, London, Paris or Helsinki as you are in New York, Peru or Brisbane. Being young and in your teens makes you more vulnerable and I shudder to think at the social effects acne has on the world's teenagers.

It's got to be said that conventional medicine hasn't had much success getting to the roots of the acne problem. The doctors and "experts" tell us it's caused by genetics and our hormones, and made worse by eating chocolate and stress, so we eradicate chocolate from our diet and reduce the stress - almost certainly made worse by the acne - and there's no noticeable improvement. At least there wasn't in my case.

You have even used expensive prescription acne medications, costly treatments and some had side effects and you still have acne. It's very easy to give up hope. I know I did. I had a friend called Misha who had acne almost as bad as mine. With him the medications did work, but only for a little while. The day after he stopped using them, the spots started returning. Soon he and I were back to where we started. No better off after months of suffering.

It was a school friend of my mother, a woman we called Aunt Jane, who came up with the solution. Or at least she told us where to look for it. Auntie Jane told us that the spots weren't the trouble, they were just the symptoms of something wrong inside the body. She told us that no amount of expensive ointment or cream can get down to the root causes of acne.

The condition of bad acne must to be resolved from the bottom up as well as from the inside out. Placing a short term solution on the acne issue does not resolve anything. Your body is attempting to deliver an SOS to you if you have bad acne. It is screaming that something is really wrong. This means, it is time that you do something about your condition that is different. And that means a natural solution.

Certain foods in your diet could be causing or aggravating your acne. It could be refined sugar, it might be nuts, processed cheese, or even milk or any one of a number of food ingredients. The way forward is to find out how to treat acne from the inside out - to find the natural way to treat your bad acne. As Aunt Jane used to say, let your body find the way to treat itself.

The Best Cystic Acne Treatment Options

By Morgan Lee

If you are talking about acne, it is usually in relation to a teenager. Many of them are susceptible to acne for a few years and then seem to grow out of it, when they leave puberty behind. Contrary to popular belief, the majorities are not left with life-time scars. The main differences with this disorder are that you can be left with scars if you do not use the appropriate cystic acne treatment, and you can get it at any age.

The medical profession has linked this skin disorder to several potential causes. Including, dust getting into your pores and causing a blockage, poor nutrition, hormone imbalance and believe it or not dandruff. As yet there has been no definitive cause identified. There is little doubt that good nutrition and looking after your skin properly helps to prevent any form of skin condition.

Your pharmacy will stock a variety of treatments, many that are reasonably priced. You can buy them without a prescription, and your pharmacist will be only too happy to advise you on the best products and how to use them. You will also find written instruction along with your purchase.

Depending on what you have in your store cupboard, there are several home-made remedies you might like to try. A thick paste made from baking soda, and a little water should be applied to the area and left for 15 minutes to set. Use tepid water to rinse the paste off, and at the same time you are removing the excess oil from the skin which helps to prevent breakouts.

If you already have an outbreak, and it feels or looks inflamed, add just a few grains of sea salt to the baking soda paste. Apply gently to the area and leave to harden for 15 minutes. Then rinse in warm water to remove the paste. This helps to damp down the inflammation.

You will find that this type of skin disorder not only becomes inflamed, it can cause you a lot of pain. If you take a few drops of honey and mix gently with an egg white, it will help to reduce the inflammation and therefore, the pain it causes. Another mix which is thought to be best in adults, and you may find useful is some honey mixed with lime juice and turmeric.

Tea tree oil is known to be effective in killing the bacteria that cause zits and also has properties, which help to reduce any inflammation. This is the best cystic acne treatment that you can buy over the counter. There are also many natural and herbal products that you can also try as alternative to tea tree oil.
